It's Tuesday!!

Today is a little better. Ivy is starting to really check us out and see what we're doing. Still waiting on that first laugh. Today Gift and Marcus were out roaming the streets and some ladies stopped them to say to Gift "pretty". They wanted to take a picture with her and touch her hair and skin. At first she was a little skeptical. Marcus told her she was like a "rock star" to them and this is exactly what people do to Hannah Montana when they see her. That did the trick. She has been totally different today. Ready to go wherever and is adjusting good. We found the kids play room at the hotel and both the girls enjoyed that. Gift jumped 1000 times into the ball pit and Ivy just stared at her.
We have pretty much figured out that Ivy needs to go poop. Sorry for the details, but just want you to have specific prayer concerns. She wants to be held against our tummy and will occasionally cry out and arch her back. She throws quite a fit at nap time, but I think it's mostly due to the newness and being uncomfortable. Here are some new pics. I have to tell you that Marcus and I can't stop looking at her...she is just so beautiful. Friends, we are so blessed to have a constant prayer line going and we thank you for them. Please don't stop. We have a long way to go, but we feel wrapped in prayer all the time.

  3. I got woken up by Jake, so I fired up the computer also and was thrilled to find your update! Way to go, Daddy, with the Hannah Montana... Gift is a Rock Star! I love it. What is the temp there? I see shorts! Have you tried putting Ivy on the potty? Maybe pooing into a diaper is too confining? Worth a shot.

    Praying for Poo!!

  5. What a perfect little China doll Miss Ivy is. So glad to see that great smile on Gift's face too. Tell her that she is our rock star and we miss her. Cleo has been really bored without her to bark at through the fence. Hugs to all.

Ask Gift if I may her autoggraph when she returns home from her travel abroad I've never known a 1st graders to go to China! Ya'll will soon learn poo is a big thing in the life of a baby. If they do everyone is happy!! lol We are thinking about you and our prayers are being heard!! Hang in there.

  8. I am soooo glad I found your blog on Facebook! You guys are such blessings and are now being blessed for your efforts! Your prayers are without question being raised up! I am specifically praying for bonding and peace and that sweet Ivy is soon filled with the spirit that already envelops her new family; it is a spirit of unconditional love, acceptance and faith which she will one day carry on to all she comes into contact with- just like her parents and sister do! You are ALL Rock Stars!! I will also pray for sleep even if it is just short bursts here and there! All my best- Martha Morian

  11. I am so loving all these pics and updates. I have this mental picture of Marcus while Ashleigh is singing the lullaby. Marcus, you are so blessed to be surrounded by your three beautiful girls. By the way, I have experience with your cousins when they were babies on the constipation issues. I am good with giving enemas and it will give me an excuse to cuddle with the newest cutie pie. Love and prayers for you all, Aunt Elaine

  12. Oh- this just put a huge smile on my face!! I love the whole family picture walking down the street- it has been a long walk but as you always told me when it should have been the other way around, "God has a Plan," and isn't it beautiful!! Give Giftie a hug for us and as she didn't already know she is a "rockstar" to Myra and Addie too.

P.S. Since gift was the queen of constipation I am sure you have many tricks up your sleeve but I will add poo to the prayer list :-)

  15. Did you guys here that? Or that? That was SHOUTS-- from Washington, to California, down to Arizona and Texas--- from one room to the next "They've Updated!!!" Or is that just us?? I don't think so. I have about 14 comments TOTAL on my blog.

So let's have it. It's Wednesday there already.

Which, by the way, seems so weird to me... that you are in tomorrow and we haven't even had dinner yet.

Can't wait for more news. And Jason is requesting pictures of your surroundings. In your spare time.
