Some of you may be wondering how a family actually goes about receiving their baby when adopting in China. It's actually pretty simple: someone calls your hotel room and tells you your new baby has arrived from the orphanage and that she's waiting for you to come get her in another room in the hotel.

The following was our experience.

    RUINED my mascara. That is AMAZING that you got that all on camera. Total silence as you walk the halls. Then you walk right past that first baby- nope, not mine--- there's mine. Come to mama, sister. But the sobbing with happiness when you hold her in your arms... I lost it.

    Good thing Marcus does investments "she will be very rich"... LOVE IT.

    Me too...The tears started when I watched Ashleigh's reaction when she first greeted Ivy. What a neat video.

    My tears started flowing immediately. That video is just precious. I got a little smile on my face when I noticed a kleenex in your hand in one of the very first pictures you posted and now it's clear why you did.

    "You can get your baby right now!" -- Oh Ash, those were the words that you have been praying and waiting 4 years to hear. I just sobbed when I heard the lady say that and when I saw your baby placed in your arms. The look on your face said it all, "Thank you, God." We rejoice with you.     Oh my gosh Ashleigh, thank you so much for sharing this with us!! I just totally spooked Grayson, he came around the corner and said,"Mommy why are you crying like that??" (I was cryihg like a baby!!) We are so happy for you guys!! Love ALL of the pics and we just CAN'T WAIT to hold that angel!! Tell Gifty she is doing a SUPER job with her new big sis duties!!
