Most infants in Chinese orphanages spend a great deal of time sitting and inactive, and it took Ivy several days to begin sitting up and using her hands and arms. She's progressing very quickly now, though.

I discovered something this evening that Ivy loves: I lift her above my head and she gets excited and starts kicking and laughing. The only drawback is that I sustain some pretty forceful blows to the face. Ash and Gift both readily agreed it's worth it to see our baby happy.

  1. Wow. She is so cute. Looks like Gift has quite the following too. Tell her that the "Idaho Tornado" slowed down long enough yesterday to view the pictures, and he is impressed with his newest cousin.

    We love you'se gueys!

We have prayed for that giggle.....even if it means ya gotta give up a little blood! :) We can't wait for the next set of pictures and notes but are ready to see you in person. I did return a very much alive "Lovey" the class goldfish without having to replace her for being a bad girl and floating on her back! YIKES.... the pressure was killing me! Can't wait to squeeze all you girls and we are going to serve up Marcus some road kill to see if he can identify gross American food!!! MUAH!!!!!!!!!!!
